YES, the above comic is about dysentery. NO, I will not take the opportunity to make an Oregon Trail reference. And see there, I didn't even link to Oregon Trail, because that's how serious I am about this.
So go on, look it up on Wikipedia if you must, or examine one of the many T-shirts found online have images of old-timey wagons and the words "You have died of dysentery," heck, even buy one for all I care. But dear friends, I put it to you that you have not in fact died of dysentery, and be proud of that fact. Because you know what? You're still cool in my book.
