The above comic is a tribute to Matt Groening's (The Simpsons), comic strip Akbar and Jeff. They first appeared in 1984 in his strip "Life in Hell." Groening says Akbar and Jeff are "either brothers or lovers or possibly both," depending on what offends you more. But ultimately, what the strip is really about is relationships in general. Groening states that much of the humor in Akbar and Jeff comes from their constant arguing and criticizing of one another despite being identical. Another big component is that their facial expressions never change, so it's up to the reader to interpret them in. Sound like any other comics you read?
