Well I'm still on my California visit, and speaking of mountains, I went on a nice hike yesterday with an old friend of mine. It was basically on a whim and all the more fun for it.
We started off walking up Reseda Boulevard, the major street by the house I grew up in. We started with the intention of going up the hill at least to where the street ended. Instead we ended up hiking a trail that split off the side of the road which, two hours later, brought us to the top of Reseda anyway. Funny how these things seem to work out. But by any measure it was good times, good exercise, and
good vistas.
More relevant to the comic, mountaintop removal is a
serious issue.
