So yea, the comic above is totally based on real conversations that my friends and I have when playing board games. I've found myself arguing vehemently on both sides of the issue. But maybe I just chose the side that was most advantageous to me at the time! We'll let the jury decide.
In any case, arguing and nitpicking game rules comes as second nature to guys like me who got their chops playing games like
Magic: The Gathering. The kids who played
Overpower didn't get that kind of brain workout, and I don't care what the Wikipedia article says.
But this one time a friend and I combined Magic and Overpower to make OverMagic. Nothing I can say now will ever justify that.
