So the story I am telling here happened well after this comic was written, but whatever, it's appropriate.
While doing some correlating (fancy name for proofreading) I had to review some kindergarten mathematics books to make sure they met with state standards. I got to the geometry section and they had this row of shapes that had a square, then a triangle, and a circle. I looked at them and couldn't help but feel like I was sitting at my computer writing a comic and before you know it, little conversations started filling my head. I guess I'll just never look at basic shapes the same way ever again.
THIS, friends, is the price I must pay.
