Yes folks, it's true. On Feb 8th, 2008, Pizza Beer became a reality. I saw some at Binny's Beverage Depot last Saturday and I eagerly surrendered my dollar. Now I've had a lot of strange brew in my day and here's my $.02. Not bad, but really it should be more unique. It's an "ale brewed with oregano, basil, tomatoes, and garlic," and the flavors are certainly there, but it's too subtle to make it really taste like pizza. I'd rather have my pizza beer taste a LOT like pizza, even if it's nasty. At least I could say I had the experience. That being said, I bet you still want to try it. That's the beauty of something called "pizza beer."
