OK so the first time I saw/heard of
Brad Neely I wasn't overly impressed. You may know him from the viral video
"Washington," and that's the first thing I saw of his. I didn't care for it too much at the time, but it's grown on me a bit now that I've seen some of his other work. I was reintroduced to Neely with
"America Now," a handful of his short animations featuring irreverent musical takes on various aspects of American culture/politics. Ridiculous stuff! Also, he has a series on Super Deluxe called
"The Professor Brothers" which I am finding quite hilarious. NOT FOR KIDS, haha!
Particularly in the videos, I'm very impressed with his ability to convey very nuanced gesturing with what some might call a "simple" style.
